Calabar contributes to Jamaica's top tier placing in Robotics Global Challenge

The annual First Global Challenge is an international robotics competition which allows youth, ages 14 to 18 to share their passion for STEM (Science, technology, engineering and mathematics).

Five students were selected to represent Jamaica in the competition. Among them, Calabar’s Justin Richards, Team Captain and Chief Programmer (back row: left) and Phillip Llewelyn, Software Coach. The team ranked 15 out of 161 teams and copped the Safety and Outstanding Mentor awards.

The competition’s thematic focus was on ‘Energy Impact’ and was held August 16- 18, 2018 at the Arena Cuidad de Mexico.
