Badminton

Badminton was introduced to Calabar High School in 1992 by Coach Marcia Ramikie -Williams (YMCA).
Since winning the Eastern Region League Championships in 1997, Calabar has emerged the leaders in school boy badminton
competition. They were the dominant school in this league for seven consecutive years between 1997 and 2003.
Between 2006 and 2011 Calabar were runners-up in a range of competitions.

Bradley Graham has been the school’s most outstanding player with 2001 open singles title at the Caribbean Badminton
Championships and Represented Jamaica at the Pan American Games

Training Days:Mondays, Thursdays, & Fridays at Constant Spring Golf Club
3:00 pm – 6:00pm (student may leave by 5:00pm)
Tuesdays at Calabar High from 3:00pm-5:00pm
Saturdays at St. Hugh’s High School Gym (10:00am – 4:00pm)
